About Pharmacy Compounding Compliance

Pharmacy Compounding Compliance writes the documentation that non-sterile compounding standards require: master formulation records, risk assessments, and policies and procedures. It is a pharmacist-led service for community pharmacies across Canada, provided at your convenience by email, phone and video. You receive finished documents that are yours to keep, with no software to learn and no subscription.

Who writes your documents

Dumitru Musteata, RPh, is a pharmacist registered with the Ontario College of Pharmacists and the manager of a community pharmacy in Ottawa that compounds non-sterile preparations. He writes and checks every document set himself, with administrative support for scheduling and formatting.

He works under the same standards as the pharmacies he writes for, so the documents come from someone who uses this kind of paperwork at the bench and does not only read about it.

How we work

  • From your pharmacy’s facts. Formulas, suppliers, equipment, room layout and staff roles come from you. We do not hand out generic binders.
  • To the published standard. Each document follows the Model Standards for Pharmacy Compounding of Non-Sterile Preparations and its guidance document as adopted by your regulator, and that regulator’s own assessment criteria where it publishes them.
  • With references. Beyond-use dates, hazard classifications and risk levels are supported by named references, so your supervisor can check them and stand behind them.
  • In writing. Scope, price and delivery date are fixed in a consulting agreement before work starts. Your information is covered by a confidentiality clause, and the documents are yours once the fee is paid.

What we do not do

We do not perform laboratory or stability testing, certify hoods or rooms, or design ventilation. We do not tell a regulator that a pharmacy is compliant, and we cannot guarantee the result of an assessment. The pharmacy’s manager and non-sterile compounding supervisor remain responsible for compounding practice. Our documents are tools that support them.

Independence

Pharmacy Compounding Compliance is an independent documentation service operated by Xcelrx Inc. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by NAPRA or any pharmacy regulatory authority. References on this site to NAPRA model documents and to provincial colleges describe published documents and the requirements regulators have set. The interpretations are our own.
